What We Do
Development Consulting
As specialist development facilitators, we work alongside proponents to help deliver regional infrastructure and industry development opportunities. We work in partnership or as a service provider/consultant to developers.
- Location identification
- Economic development – identifying and developing value chains and business connections
- Workforce and skills – building partnerships with training providers
- Community consultation and engagement, communications planning
- Social and community participation in development
- Exploring and creating connections with governments and key stakeholders
- Grant development and writing, submission support
We can facilitate opportunity scoping for developments that may have specific requirements or targets for regional business or workforce capability, harnessing our knowledge and connections in the regions in which we operate.
For example, a large infrastructure development required renewable energy sources for construction and O&M phases - we worked with them to identify and connect potential providers for that need, and alongside identified solutions to reduce their construction carbon footprint.
Opportunity Brokering and Origination
Our aim is to develop the concept and practice of a regional intermediary, working with developers and businesses to help them establish and grow in the region or to identify, partner and create value chains for mutual benefit. We’ll help you take your idea or opportunity and bring it to fruition. An initial focus for the business is the renewable energy and agricultural sectors. Over time, we’ll build a portfolio of support focussed on the needs and aspirations of businesses and proponents in growth and strength sectors.
Focal areas for our brokering and origination practice are:
- Facilitating regional connections for developers/infrastructure proponents, across supply and value chains, government, community and industry sectors;
- Workforce and skills development, with collaborative practice at the centre.
For example, partnering with Marathon Industries and Solis RE to develop a green hydrogen value chain in Gippsland, identifying and connecting technology providers, suitable locations, required inputs (water, waste, electricity etc), production systems, off take opportunities and end users, particularly in the heavy transport and mobility sectors, skills and training systems and support industries with the intent of creating a new economic sector for the benefit of the region.
